Abstract: H W Wilson announced a new release of WilsonWeb that includes support for the SFX linking technology from Ex Libris.

BOSTON, Massachusetts, December 16th, 2002- Ex Libris congratulates H W Wilson on their recent full release of the new WilsonWeb; a complete redesign of WilsonWeb incorporating advanced technology, a completely new user-friendly interface, a powerful search engine, and a variety of customization options, providing enhanced access to Wilson’s high quality databases.

One of the key technology components incorporated in the new WilsonWeb is the award-winning SFX linking technology from Ex Libris.

“Ex Libris is proud to be associated with this new product from H W Wilson. The new WilsonWeb provides an opportunity for users of the H W Wilson databases to benefit from the powerful SFX linking options that enable seamless integration with the library’s entire collection even if the library does not own their own link server” comments Jenny Walker, Director of Sales and Marketing at Ex Libris.

According to Ron Miller, Director of Product Management at H.W. Wilson: “Ex Libris SFX technology, in combination with WilsonWeb, represents a step in the evolution of library research almost as major as the spread of electronic information sources—the integration of those sources. Without added costs to libraries, WilsonLink, powered by Ex Libris’s SFX technology, affords users seamless access to a far wider range of data than they would with unconnected resources.”
