Bibliotheca, one of the leading global providers of RFID-based solutions to public, private and academic libraries, has today launched its new global brand, allowing the Group to unite its entities under one central identity. The rebranding follows the merger of Bibliotheca (Switzerland), Intellident (UK) and Integrated Technology Group, ITG (North America) in June 2011, which created one of the largest RFID library specialists in the world. This position was further enhanced in January 2012, with the acquisition of Trion Library Systems, one of the world's leading manufacturers of Automated Materials Handling (AMH) solutions designed specifically for libraries.
The new brand reflects Bibliotheca's move to a more modern, fresh and dynamic business while being in line with a core value of working as ‘one team' across all territories. Additionally, it provides the company with an opportunity to establish a consistent brand identity across each entity that can be recognised by customers globally. The rebrand is complemented by Bibliotheca's global product range that was introduced earlier this year, along with a new branded website, also launched today.
Andy Chadbourne, Director of Marketing commented: "The integration of three companies into one over the last 9 months has been a huge undertaking, yet exciting task for everyone in the business. During that time we have centralised our management structure, deployed a common IT infrastructure and released a single global product range. Today is a milestone in our continued development as, for the first time, our customers will see a single brand for our library business whichever country they are in."
The Bibliotheca brand will be used exclusively for the library business in all countries, while the Intellident brand, which is recognised as being the UK's leading provider of RFID solutions, will continue to operate as a supply chain-only operation focussed on the deployment of technology into the industrial and retail markets.
Bibliotheca was formed in the spring of 2011 when the three leading independent companies of Bibliotheca (Switzerland), Intellident (UK) and Integrated Technology Group, ITG (North America) merged to create a single, global entity. In January of 2012, the Group was extended further with the acquisition of Trion AG, one of Europe's leading AMH suppliers. The Group is financially backed by One Equity Partners, a division of JP Morgan Chase & Co.
The formation of this Group creates the world's largest company dedicated to the development, deployment and support of RFID-based solutions, with particular focus on public, private and academic library markets.
