GUELPH, Ontario, Canada Jul. 10, 2007 – Jaywil Software has just unveiled two new powerful tools for use with their popular library automation software, ResourceMate Library Search and Web Search Inter-Library! These add to the already impressive features and products in the ResourceMate family of library automation.
Library Search is a new feature added to all versions of ResourceMate. In many ways it is an extension of the tremendously popular ISBN Retrieval feature. Where ISBN Retrieval searches Internet sources for cataloging information based on ISBN number, Library Search extends the possibilities by providing the same search now by Title, Author, Publisher and many other ways. ResourceMate users now have an exponentially higher chance of finding their cataloging information on-line, speeding up the cataloging process and increasing the accuracy of their records.
Says Jaywil Software President, Brian Watson, "This really is an amazing tool. We are excited to be offering our customers more by extending our very popular ISBN Retrieval so items not found or without ISBNs can still be found."
Jaywil Software is still firm on offering the best value in library automation and continues its mission of providing quality software to smaller and medium sized libraries. Library Search exemplifies this commitment. When combined with ISBN Retrieval the two features create an incredibly powerful cataloging tool that is available to all current customers with active support.
Web Search Inter-Library is a new add-on module that can be added on to customers' ResourceMate setup. It expands on the current Web Search module that is available. With the Inter-Library version of Web Search, groups of libraries can come together and put all of their collections in one searchable web application. This way, their patrons can conduct one search and receive results from multiple libraries.
Web Search Inter-Library continues on the company's growth and will be a product not only for Jaywil's current customer base, but also for a new clientele. Watson comments, "As our business grows to serve more large organizations with multiple locations, ResourceMate is growing as well to find new ways to take advantage of the unique opportunities these organizations offer. Web Search Inter-Library is our latest way to do exactly that."
New developments to ResourceMate are always continuing with new program updates containing more features and enhancements. Also, the ResourceMate Multi Language Add-on Module will be released that will allow the program to be translated into any language. Current modules available to the public are: Extended Circulation, Advanced Patron Search, Serials, Spell Check, Audit Trail, Soundex, Scheduler, Pamphlet Inventory.
