5 February, 2009. Following a competitive tender process, Leicestershire Libraries has chosen to stay with Talis as the software provider of their library management suite.
As a part of the Councils Efficiency Agenda 2008/2009, Leicestershire Libraries reviewed their computerised library management system in the aim to develop a more interactive virtual library presence for its borrowers, whilst ensuring their stock management delivers efficiency and value for money for its staff (amongst many other factors).
After an in depth analysis of the market, Leicestershire Libraries has chosen to stay with Talis and implement new solutions to meet their new strategic objectives for their library. Talisí new OPAC, Talis Prism and integration solutions, Finance Integration module and Customer Relationship Management module are just some of the new implementations to take place across the 57 branches.
