POMONA, CA. - July 22, 2010 - Auto-Graphics, Inc., a technology innovator providing library automation solutions for 40 years, today announced that Blackhawk Technical College in Wisconsin has selected AGent VERSO as its integrated library system (ILS). The college has opted for the Software as a Service (SaaS) hosted delivery method, which provides full system support and maintenance, allowing them to focus on expanding patron services without the additional cost and complexity of addressing technical support issues.
Blackhawk Technical College will be implementing a range of features available from Auto-Graphics, including the EDI X.12-compliant acquisitions module to provide efficient order management, the serials module for effective subscription collection management and the AGent Search federated search module to streamline and improve search capabilities. In addition, the library will implement the NCIP-compliant Circulation Interlibrary Loan Link (CILL) module to dramatically reduce the steps required to both borrow and lend items. CILL will marry the borrowing and lending functionality between Blackhawk Technical College's interlibrary loan (ILL) system, WISCAT - powered by Auto-Graphics' AGent Resource Sharing - and AGent VERSO to streamline workflow for library staff and empower patrons to initiate and track their own ILL transactions.
"We are pleased to have Blackhawk Technical College join our growing lists of SaaS customers and two year colleges selecting AGent VERSO," said Albert Flores, vice president of sales and marketing at Auto-Graphics. "In these difficult economic times, having direct access to statewide services through NCIP-based resource sharing provides a more efficient workflow with self-service options that directly benefit staff and students alike."
