Library details: Knoxville College Alumni Memorial Library is an Academic library.
This library is affiliated with Knoxville College. The collection of the library contains 85,000 volumes.
Other Info: From the library''s web page: The Knoxville College Library had its inception in 1876, one year after the College was founded. Library materials from the McKee School in Nashville were moved to Knoxville and became the core of the College Library collection. Until 1909, the Library was located on the second floor of the Administration Building. In that year, using student labor and bricks made in the college kiln, the new Carnegie Library was completed and the collection finally had its own quarters. The Carnegie Library building was razed in 1965, so that a new facility could be constructed in its place. This new structure, housing the present Library, is a modern, functional building which opened in early 1967. At that time the name Carnegie was retired and the library was renamed Alumni Memorial Library in gratitude for the ongoing and significant financial support of the Alumni Association.
